About Me

Hi! I'm Alyson, and I'm an Information Technology student at the University of Central Florida. I specialize in front-end web development and have a strong passion for plants. In the Fall of 2022, I took an internet applications class and have been diligently honing my front-end web development skills ever since. Interestingly, the first two websites I developed were centered around plants. I briefly paused my web development journey to prioritize my studies and nurture my love for houseplants. Now, I'm back on track and actively working on building this portfolio website to enhance my proficiency in HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and Sass. My long-term goal is to become a full-stack web developer, so I'm learning a couple back-end technologies alongside my front-end development journey.

These projects will be a mix of personal and school projects. Right now, it consists mostly of school projects, but it will change in the future as I have a few personal projects in mind :).

  • Garden Hose

This was the second and final project I worked on in my Internet Applications class in the Fall of 2022. This project is a static, responsive garden e-commerce website.

  • My Green Thumb

This was the first website I built in my Internet Applications class in the Fall of 2022, based on my favorite hobby. It is non-responsive, but I'm proud of what I was able to create using HTML and CSS for the first time.
